You will be picked up from your hotel around 1:30 p.m. to board our bus that will take us to visit the different archaeological and religious attractions among which are:

  • Qoricancha or the temple of the Sun and the Convent of Santo Domingo, a religious center built to worship the Sun, the most important deity of the time of the Incas. In this place stands out the extraordinary Inca architecture united to the Spanish architecture. We can also appreciate beautiful paintings of the Cusco school in its Pinacoteca of colonial art.
  • The Cathedral of Cusco, located on the main square of the city; It is a colonial monument of great artistic value, built on top of the Palace of the Inca Wiracocha. Inside you can see the carved wood works like the choir, the pulpit and the altars, as well as beautiful paintings of the Cusco school and works in embossed silver.
  • Sacsayhuaman, located 2 km from the city of Cusco is an Inka fortress. It was built using huge carved stones united with precision; This admirable fortress consists of three superimposed platforms, with an average of 360 meters long; here you can see stones up to 9 meters high. From Sacsayhuaman you have a spectacular view of the entire city of Cusco with the beautiful panorama of the peaks of the hills.
  • Archaeological Complex of Qenqo (labyrinth), located at 1 km from Sacsayhuaman, was an Inca ceremonial center which was considered as an epicenter of worship.
  • The Puka Pukara archaeological site, is known as the red fortress because of the reddish color shown by the large amount of iron that contains its stones. It is said that the place was an old tambo that served as a place to rest and also as a guard, since it could have the function of taking care of Tambomachay.
  • Tambomachay (Place of rest), is a complex formed by a set of finely carved rocks, waterfalls and aqueducts from hot springs and other nearby springs. It is related to the worship of water. In front of the building was located a tower that should serve for defense and communication.
